I've had the same problem with another player, we spended the afternoon to fix it, I'm gonna release the update very soon that will solve this problem. Though, if it's a corrupted save file then you're gonna loose your progress, which is bad ... By any chance, are you on a phone ? Do you remember how you have exit the game the last time ? Maybe that could be an issue, I'll check it out ASAP.
I don't understand the question ? To buy character you need to make prestige, once you've got a high revenue / seconds you open the prestige tab and make a prestige. Then you can buy some character that you want, and then finally in the Girl tab you set them.
Though, you can support us on Patreon / Subscribstar at the Village tier and get the cheat, then you would only need to check the "Unlock all character" to have all character.
