I only barely started playing this game but I gotta say the day-night cycle in this game doesn't really feel like it adds anything except making it impossible to see what I'm doing for over half of the time.
The difficulty is honestly kinda brutal. You start out with barely enough money to build anything and are already losing money fast, and I'm absolutely positive that taxes are being collected too often. It's suuuch a slog to even break even, let alone actually build anything. As someone who loves stuff like simcity and hoi4 this of all city management games being the one to just defeat me is a. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the experience. I'd like to address a few points if you ever try the experience again, and for other future players.
First of all, the night cycle can be deactivated in the options if you find it unwanted. You can actually disable a lot of things in the options, just press Esc -> “Options” -> “Visual” to check it out.
Secondly, you now start with a girl and a building right at the start, for free, so by dragging the girl into the building you can earn money right from the start. You even have passive income assured by the farm house.
We've included an in-game tutorial to help players grasp the mechanics and earn money easily. We've made sure that taxes arrive every 16 cycles (1 full day) and that seems fair to us.
noticed on the new patch that exclusive relationship gets removed after the love number falls below a certain number. in the old patch you just had to get the love stat high enough to unlock exclusive relationship and it would stay ticked unless you removed the tick yourself (no matter what the love stat number was) was this an intentional change? will there be a way to make the tick permanent?

Yes it was intended, if she doesn't love you enough, there's no reason for you to stay exclusive.
There's a solution though, the simplier would be to ensure she stay in love with you. On the newest version, if you have sex with a girl, it does increase the love (25% chance), and on the new "Harem Mode" you can set the love to stop decaying.
In the old release, it's in the cheat tab, "Stop Love Decaying"

Pretty noice game so far, although there's a bug with a few buildings (museum, market and stable) that removed your painted floors and turns them into bridges after you load save where you placed them.
Im using macOS and it keeps saying that it cant be opened, and when i try to use a different zip file opener it just says it cant be opened because it's damage, do i need a specific zip opener or something
I did manage to squeeze by and ended up with several hundred million. I was making a really pretty city too, but when I loaded the game it ended up deleting a lot of the objects. Roads, streetlights, barrels, many utility buildings. I didnt lose any characters but it did make me too disheartened to work on it more.
Admittedly, I did use the grass texture for an entire half of the map so maybe thats partly my fault...
Just sent the email. I did use a few markets for the shape, and I also made sure I had one of each building so if any of them have problems on their own, theyre certainly in there.
Hi, I'm running the game on Mac and when I try to open the new update my computer is saying saying the application is damaged and can't be opened, and that I should move it to the trash. Any advice on navigating this? Thanks!
Hi, no, Fantasy Town isn't planned to be added on Android, it is incompatible in many ways with Android. But we have Idle Brothel which is on Android, and our futures games will be.

No, but it does have a counterpart available on Android called Idle Brothel

Any tier of Patreon is fine, it's less locked than the classic cheat, who need Villager tier.

Oh I tested it again and the museum works indeed, I had assumed it wouldn't since the other 2 buildings weren't working

The city hall says taxes happen every 18 cycles, but they happen every 7 for me, making the start completely impossible.

You haven't overwritted the save, did you ? After the bug

I finally could found the problem ! It's solved for the next version, unfortunately I can't resolve it for the current version.
If you want, you can send me a save file and I'll fix it.
The problem is caused by the Market, Stable and Museum, I therefore advise you not to use them.
(send save to : nymphomaniafantasytown@gmail.com or remove Market, Stable and Museum before saving)

The linux version doesnt seem to be working, i open the game, i see the studio splash, and then it just fades to a green screen and nothing happens
